🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹
I chose this Tail Blazers collar for my 12 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. After measuring him, and checking the size chart, I opted for the small size.
The collar arrived nicely packaged in a ziplock bag. It is fairly lightweight, but feels quite thick and chunky, particularly where the fairly large “Tail Blazers” sign is stitched on.
It is nicely padded, and is well stitched with neat seams throughout – better than some collars I have had where the stitching has been loose or uneven. I like the fact that the buckle has a lock for added security, and the addition of two “D” rings – one for the lead and the other for the ID tag.
🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹
This is a lovely collar which is high quality. It looks stylish in the red and black, and has added comfort and security features. My only issue is that it does seem a little too chunky for a smaller dog. I also found that it was quite a tight fit. There is a Velcro adjustment, which maybe more adjustable on the larger sizes, but on the small size there is very little room for manoeuvre.
In conclusion, I would say that this is a very well made collar, but I personally think it is more suited to larger dogs due to the chunkiness and the ability to adjust it.
Although it fits him fine this seems a bit over the top for my cockapoo. It's robust and rugged so you could get hold of an alsation who was wearing it. He seems comfortable in it and it's easy to put on and to attach to the lead so I can't really grumble.
The Tail Blazers UK dog collar is well-made and feels durable, with strong nylon material and comfortable padding that doesn’t irritate my dog’s neck. The reflective strip is a great addition for evening walks, and the ID tag attachment is handy. However, the sizing runs a bit large, so make sure to measure carefully before ordering. Overall, it’s a decent collar with good features, but better sizing guidance would be helpful.
This is genuinely a very nice collar. No part of it feels weak or lacklustre.
The main material is very similar to padded webbing. It feels very strong and is precisely stitched throughout. The d-rings are strong and anodised in black to prevent corrosion and it give it a nice finish. I was tempted to deduct a star because the main clasp that holds the collar together is plastic and not metal as I'd prefer, but it's actually a good quality buckle. It also has a lock feature that I've not ever seen before. It prevents the clasp from being unclipped by mistake. It's because it's of good quality and strong that I decided not to drop this review down to four stars.
I like the overall design too. It has a grab handle, which is really handy (unintended pun) for larger dogs. My GSD is 54kg and when you need to control him a lead doesn't really cut it.
It's nicely padded and wide enough so that large, boisterous dogs will still be controllable whilst also find it comfortable.
The colours are vibrant and do look exactly like the product photos. I even like the brand badge and the name.
Overall, genuinely, this is a nice collar. I know what you're thinking, Oh yeah this is an Amazon Vine review that has awarded five stars, but I'd happily pay the £15 price with my own money for this collar. I'm struggling to find any real negatives to relay to you. I think you'll be quite happy with it.
